Materials
- A bunch of pop tabs depending on how long or short you want your necklace OR bracelet to be. I made a necklace and I used 195 tabs.
- 2 paper clips (better if they are small paper clips rather than the large) if you want to make a bracelet or a shorter necklace that doesn't fit over the head.

- 2 clasps and a clasp hook if you rather not use the paper clips for a more "store bought" look.

- A pair of snips which are in the picture to the right ( you will need these to cut the tabs), If you don't have snips, scissors work just as well.

Step 1:
Cut a slit in the middle of the top part of the the tab. Always cut on the top part of the tab never the bottom! Do this to all of your tabs.

Step 2:
Take 5 of the tabs that you have cut and put them all together. Make sure they are all facing the same direction, like in the image to the left.

Step 3:
Take another tab with a slit in the top and slide it through the five tabs. Do this with four more tabs so when your done you should have five tabs connected to five tabs.

Repeat this process until the chain is as long as you want it to be. Then you will have to either add your paper clip hooks, or you normal clasps and clasp hook, or, if your chain is long enough to fit over your head, connect the ends.
To connect the ends you just do the same thing you have been doing, just connect the five tabs to the other five tabs.

Take your two paper clips and hook them together. This is how you will clip and unclip your necklace (or bracelet).

Then pretend that the paper clip is another tab and slip it through the five tabs. Do the same thing on the other end of the chain with the other paper clip.

If you are connecting your necklace or bracelet with the clasps and clasp hook, your going to want to use large clasps that can fit around the pop tab. Use some tweezers to open the clasp, the put it around the tab. Then close the clasp. On the other end of the chain do the same thing, except put the clasp hook on the clasp.
